Extracting highlights

Choose a video.

On the Highlight screen, click the upload area or the Choose file button and pick a video saved on your device. If you already have highlights, press the New highlight button above the list to open the upload window. Once you choose a video, its file name and length appear.

If a message says the video cannot be opened, convert it to H.264 (MP4) and upload it again. Uploaded source videos are kept for 30 days; after that, clips can no longer be re-extracted from them.

Choose a topic.

From the Topic menu under the upload area, choose the topic that fits your video: Live Commerce, Education, Gaming, Sports, Vlog, Interview, or Mukbang. If you choose Sports, you also need to choose a sport: Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Combat sports, or Other sports. The analysis cannot start until a topic is chosen.

Start the analysis.

The credits the analysis needs appear next to the Start analysis button. The amount depends on the length of the video. Press the Start analysis button, and the video uploads first; once the upload finishes, the analysis starts.

The upload progress is shown while it runs, and closing or refreshing the browser tab during that time cancels the upload. The upload keeps going if you move to other screens in Klipse. Analysis time varies with the length of the video and the current processing load.

Pick the sections to extract.

When the analysis finishes, a list of sections that work well as short-form appears. Click a section to see its preview and the reason it was picked. Every section starts out checked, so uncheck the ones you do not need.

The Select all checkbox checks or unchecks every section at once, and you can sort the list By time or Top rated.

To adjust where a section starts and ends, click that section before you press the Extract clips button, and open AI clip refine at the bottom right of the screen. Describe the change you want, check the preview of the suggested edit, and press the Apply button. AI clip refine is not available once the clips are extracted.

Extract the clips.

Press the Extract clips button, and only the sections you picked are extracted as clips. Clips keep the aspect ratio of the source video, and when extraction finishes, the list of clips appears on the same screen. You can come back to the extracted clips later by opening the project from the Archive list.

Click a clip and press the Download button under the preview to save it. When there are two or more clips, the Download all button above the list saves every clip in a single ZIP file. To make short-form videos from your clips, see Reviewing and editing results.
